Please join us as we welcome back Rabbi Merrill Shapiro. The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah the first days of the New Year and, on the tenth day of the year, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, are joyous but also devoted to evaluating the year gone by and dedicating ourselves to do better in the year to come. There is plenty of soul-searching and looking inward, as well as seeking forgiveness for two types of errors, those between one human being and another and those between us and God. There’s a surprise at the of that period also known as “The Ten Days of Repentance” that underscores the joy of turning the page and beginning a new year.
Rosa Jeanne Lake is the service leader.
