As an advocate, educator, and speaker on Indigenous cultural revitalization and ecological restoration, Albert will share how restoring conservation buffalo strengthens Tribal sovereignty, advances ecological balance, and revitalizes vital cultural traditions for the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribes.
Albert Mason Jr. is the Science Director of the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative. Albert graduated from the University of Wyoming with a master's degree in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management in 2025. He is a member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and works closely with me on managing the Shoshone Tribe's buffalo herd. Albert oversees many of our science and data collection efforts to monitor biodiversity shifts related to bison restoration.
