Create your own enchanting rose from maple leave in a free, charming, autumnal activity! Every year, during the lead up to the Illuminate parade, we hold free creative activities tied in to the theme of the parade.
This year’s parade will reflect the rich tapestry of Boston’s modern identity, rooted in the tales and traditions of its residents – expect to see myths, legends, mystical creatures and fairy tales!
And is there a more fairy-tale flower than the rose?
Dovile Sakalauskaite will show you how to fold, arrange and paint real maple leaves to create a beautiful rose to take home.
1st Nov – Café Noglish: 9am-12pm.
2nd Nov – Delfino Caffe: 9am-12pm
9th Nov – Ingram Memorial: 10am-1pm.
Drop in, no need to book. All ages are welcome. All materials will be provided.
There are all sorts of opportunities for the public to get involved in the Illuminate 2024 activities, which will be free to take part in, over November. Check our Events page for the dates and locations for these, and don’t forget to put the parade on Friday 29th in your diaries!

Any under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to workshops and the 29th November Illuminate parade event and supervised at all times. Transported cannot take responsibility for under 18s but rigorous safety precautions and risk assessments will be in place.
