This summit has a name and it carries weight.The 92% honors the truth that Black women show up. Ninety-two percent of Black women voters did what was needed—and this convening centers that same political and embodied power in breastfeeding, birth, and parenting. It also uplifts the vital role of Black fathers and partners whose labor, love, and voices have long sustained families and communities, often without recognition or protection.
In August 2026, ROSE & ROBE will gather Black and Indigenous birth workers, lactation support providers, parents, fathers, elders, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and community partners in New Orleans not just to talk, but to build strategy. Rooted in history, lived experience, and truth-telling, this is more than a conference. It’s a space to examine how power operates in birth and breastfeeding and how we shift it.
All are welcome who are ready to learn, listen, and act.
