The Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride is an award-winning ride, it begins in Playas de Rosarito and ends in Ensenada, during the 50-mile journey you travel the highway along the Pacific coast and rural roads, in Ensenada is the finish line, there, we receive you with a great party to give you your commemorative medal, there will be live music until dusk, food, drink and shops with official items from the tour.

Paseo Rosarito Ensenada is an event with a completely family atmosphere with all the necessary biosecurity measures so the only thing you will worry about is enjoying the views of the beaches with your friends and family!

Rosarito Ensenada course by the free road

The Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride is a route classified as "Moderate Difficulty" by BRDAA, the Bike Ride Directors Association of America. So before you participate you must be physically fit, have enough experience and training for the event.

Schedule

• The Bike Ride must be completed from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is the time limit
• The Federal Police will assist us in controlling the vehicles traffic within this schedule, to enjoy a safe and fun bike ride until the end of the event.
• In order to receive the support and safety during the bike ride event, you must stop at the water stations before they are closed.
• Faster cyclists complete the full bike ride in 2.5 hours and casual cyclists have an average of 4 hours.

KEEP IN MIND, YOU SHOULD NOT CONTINUE ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER 4:00 P.M.

FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, GET ON THE SWEEP TRUCKS** TO TAKE YOU TO THE FINISH LINE. TRADITIONAL BIKE RIDE ROUTE ENABLES A BIKE RIDERS RIDE FROM ROSARITO TO ENSENADA BY THE FREE ROAD.

** Sag Wagons are vehicles to lift cyclists that cannot continue the ride for injury, extreme tiredness or broken bicycles. They will give you a ride to the next aid station or to the finish line.

Course Description

The route of 82.5 kilometers is completely paved, during the first 35.4 kilometers you will be on side of the ocean through charming towns along the coast, this first part of the road is primarily flat with some hills.

Water stations

Provided free by Powerade and purified water “Ciel”, clean bathrooms are also available, first aid support and bike repair. No food available.

Keep in mind that if you want to have all the support during the biking route, you must reach each water station before their closing times.

First Aid

Our medical and security operative is provided to all cyclists duly registered who carry their identification number with personal details on reverse.

DELTA 7 is the company contracted by the organizers to provide first aid and medical support. Operating with more than 8 ambulances, support units, motorcycles and over 20 paramedics.

This operation is perfectly coordinated with Red Cross and Civil Protection, so if necessary call 066 for first aid support or transportation to the nearest medical facility.

Other support cars are not permitted. Safety on the road is provided by the organizers so it is not necessary that you escort your family or friends, the organizers provide security and support throughout the biking route.

The ride finishes at the legendary Finish Line Fiesta, with food from Ensenada's finest restaurants; beer; sodas from Coca Cola; great prices on T-shirts, posters and other souvenirs; massages; clean restrooms; secure bike storage; and live rock-n-roll until sunset on Ensenada's beautiful waterfront.

Schedule from 12:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m.

At the Finish Line Fiesta you will find:

• Safe Parking lot for bikes. (Available from 12:00 a 19:00 pm)

Relax and enjoy the party without worries, once you enter the finish line party with your bike go to the official bike parking and for a little fee your belongings will be safe, there you will get your medal.

Elite start

Our elite start is not a race - but it's very fast! It separates the fastest riders from those less experienced, making the event safer for all riders. Elite riders are staged in a corral in front of the main field and begin at the same time as the main field.

Elite status is only for experienced riders and means you can and will average at least 17 mph over the course of the event, finishing in less than 3 hours.

The extra fee for Elite Status gets you a unique entry number, allowing you entry into the Elite Corral, and a better timing position for the gun start.

Timing course

Your official tour time will be recorded with the chip that is attached to your ticket, to consult it look for your name or participant number in the lists that are placed on the blackboard at the party at the finish line or on our website.

At the start and finish line you will find:

• Private parking lots in the starting area and along the main street: Blvd Benito Juárez. Take the first toll exit if you are heading south.

• Parking at the finish area. There is official parking located next to CEARTE that offer a low-price fee for the whole day. There we DO NOT RECOMMEND leaving bicycles and valuables.

• Bicycle parking. Inside the party we have a safe space to store your bike from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. cost $ 5.00 USD

• Shuttle from Ensenada to Rosarito. The official transportation provider is EVORIDE and it offers you the safe and reliable transportation service to take you and your bike from ENSENADA to Rosarito, both before the event in the morning and after the event in the afternoon

We provide traffic control and medical support on the event course, but only during limited times and at limited locations. Please consider that you only have from 10am to 4pm to conclude your ride!

Safe Start Time

You must start from the official Start Line with the field of riders when the event starts - not early and not late - in order to receive medical support or be within the zone of traffic control.

Safe Start Location

The ride starts in front of the Rosarito Beach Hotel and you must start from the official Start Line. We are finally putting an end to the growing problems caused by participants starting the ride from Rene's, AM/PM and 7-Eleven. If you are one of the riders who has be jeopardizing the event by starting early or leaving from anywhere other than the official start line, plan now to allow enough time to join the line up, or you will not have traffic control or medical support.

You can minorize risk by following our recommendations:

• Start from the official Start Line
• Start with the main field of riders at 10:00 a.m.
• Do not leave the Start Area before the event begins.
• Train and be prepared for a challenging course
• Carry a photo ID at all times
• Wear a helmet and buckle it!
• Wear sunscreen
• Ride with a buddy and stay together
• Stay hydrated and rest when needed
• Recognize your own limits and ride within them
• Be prepared for another cyclist to ride into you or cut you off

Car traffic will be closed from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thanks to Federal Police that give us full support to maximize cyclist safety.
