As part of celebrations to mark 30 years since Rory’s untimely passing, Cork Jazz Festival are proud to announce a special event in that famous venue where Rory recorded much of his legendary “Irish Tour 1974” live album.
On the Sunday of the Jazz Weekend, October 26th, some of Ireland’s greatest rock musicians will gather to remember Rory. Kicking off at 2pm and running til 5:30pm, with a full bar, Cork City Hall will host Moonchild, Crow Black Chicken, and Deuce, for an afternoon of pure rock and roll.
One of Ireland’s top rock & blues bands Crow Black Chicken will kick off proceedings, before Moonchild, a Cork based Rory Gallagher tribute take the stage. The line-up is completed by Deuce, who are no strangers to Cork, frequently taking the roof off Fred Zeppelins with their legendary high energy tribute to Ireland’s greatest guitarist.
So get your flannel shirt and boot cut jeans on, grab a pint of Guinness, and travel a million miles away to Rory’s hometown to rock out to the Bullfrog Blues.
