Rope Bondage 201: Skill Building, Flow, and Handling Drills

Want to ensure you use your rope skills confidently with connection? We have all been there, attempting to get a flow going, and suddenly, nervousness takes over, and confidence fails us. This class is an exercise designed to help the rope caster and receiver break through the barriers of nerves by repeating and challenging themselves to increase speed and competency with rope handling and application.

It is all levels because each person attending is encouraged to participate and choose which tie they will perform for the drill based on their skill level. Over the 2.5 hours, we will conduct five timed exercises in which each participant learns to increase competency in both bottoming and topping rope roles.

Equipment:

• Comfortable clothes
• A partner to tie and switch with
• yoga mat or pad (optional)
• several hanks of 15’ to 20’ of rope

Registration and shopping at 5:30, we will lock the doors and begin the workshop promptly at 6PM, no late arrivals permitted!

All rope and safety scissors will be 15% off at Awakening the day of the workshop.

$40 per couple - each ticket admits two.

Instructor Bio:

Bea is a Colorado resident who has been practicing in the kink community since 2012. They have been known to perform bondage publicly, provide ad-hoc rope education, and maintain a private studio space. Bea has studied various forms of bondage through extensive classes, conventions, and studies in Japan over the last eight years and is considered a master-level suspension shibari artist. They strive to help budding rope and kink enthusiasts develop safety protocols, skills, equity, and diversity in the kink community through conscious conversations and creative programs. Bea is the Marketing Committee Chair at Studio Friction, a membership-based rope studio in Denver.
