Roots & Routes

Fun, free, family-friendly cultural event with henna, arts & crafts, a photobooth, cultural quizzes, paper picados, origami, and much more!
About this Event

Looking for a family friendly event to bring your friends or children to? Want to explore more cultures? Interested in trying new cultural snacks or getting henna designs done?

There are so many cultures and traditions around us, but we don’t always get the chance to learn about them in a fun and interactive way.

Come join our one-day cultural celebration where youth and families can explore different cultures through hands-on activities, arts, traditions, music and more.

There will be tons of activities such as pattern lanterns, cultural quizzes, origami station, cultural tasting of snacks, paper picados, face painting, henna, world map, photobooths and more! We will also have a raffle with prizes for activity participants and a Indigenous guest speaker.

Whether you are looking to discover new cultures, meet new people, or just have a space to hangout and try new things, Roots & Routes sounds like the perfect event for you.

Roots & Routes is a youth-led project under S.U.C.C.E.S.S ‘s Community Leadership Initiative (CLI). Our goal is to bring young people and families together to celebrate and learn about different cultures in our community.

From henna to arts & crafts, come and join us on December 6th 2026!
