Meets Delicious Traditions!

At Roots & Recipes, children will:
🎨 CREATE A CULTURE POSTER:
Kids will design a poster sharing information and fun facts about their family’s ancestry and cultural background. This can include countries of origin, traditions, family stories, languages, holidays, clothing, music, or anything special to their heritage.
•• A tri-fold project board is recommended••
🍽️ PREPARE A TRADITIONAL DISH:
Each child (with family help) will bring a homemade traditional food dish from their culture to share with the group. This is a wonderful way to experience flavors from around the world and learn about one another through food!
•• Foods must be prepared prior to event & include an ingredient list noted for allergies ••
🗣️ SHARE & LEARN:
Kids will have the opportunity to present their poster, explain their dish, and learn about different cultures, traditions, and histories represented in our group.
📝 SIGN UP INFORMATION:
Step 1: RSVP! Please click “GOING” on the event page, and comment below name & ages of children attending. This helps us stay organized and helps others know if there will be kids around the same age.
✨ This is an ALL ages event, and is welcome to ALL homeschool families!✨
Step 2: There is a $5 fee per family to participate- this helps cover any rental costs, decorations, and supplies needed.
Payment can be made via Venmo or Cash!
