Brief Film Synopsis

Kike is an intimate documentary short film that explores what it is to be a Nigerian American. Being born in America but having roots that trace you back to Africa, Nigeria to be exact. A deep dive into the dichotomy of both worlds from third person POV.

Shot, edited and narrated by Akuro. Although having lived in Nigeria as a child, most of his life was spent living on US soil. Through Kike he explains what it’s like to be Nigerian but not being born and raised there. The hardship of balancing identities from both backgrounds, living/traveling within the country of Nigeria. Along with the pros and cons that come with being of the diaspora.
