For the very first time, 5Rhythms Adelaide is delighted to produce for the very first time in Australia, International Teacher & Artistic Director of the 5Rhythms Ritual Theatre Wing - Lorca Simons and her body of work known as Live Wire.
This weekend workshop, ROOTS, offers a very special part of Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms known as Ritual Theatre.
Live Wire contains the maps of our practice that Lorca has deepened and developed the last three decades of her career with Gabrielle’s blessing

No Theatre, performance or 5Rhythms experience required to join this workshop.
Ritual Theatre happens in the moment - it is not about performance but rather presence.

This is Theatre for Change. Theatre of the Heart. You are welcome just as you are. The Ensemble awaits…

TIER 1: $350. This is best price for me right now
TIER 2: $375. I can afford a little bit more
TIER 3: $395. I can support International Teachers visiting
TIER 4: $435. Pay it Forward. I can support other dancers
OPEN NIGHT ONLY : $40
It is recommended you join for the whole weekend, however we will open some Fri night only tickets after we have prioritised selling weekend tickets. If you join for the Friday night and wish to continue the weekend, you will just pay the difference.

The 5Rhythms are an art form. Application and vision are one and the same from an artistic perspective, both evoking creative expansion which is at the root of our practice. The beauty of the 5Rhythms from a theatre perspective is that we have the opportunity to mirror life, absorbing every morsel of its offerings and giving it all back to the dance over and over again.
In living this practice we embody all the rhythms through every breath we take, through every offering we make. Each gesture is an extension from our body, heart, mind, soul and spirit. A poetic landscape of offering. A free fall, a footfall, a live response to what is happening in us, around us and universally.
We as artists manifest change, offering ourselves and our stories from that deep live wire place inside each of us. A vulnerable electric landscape of unpredictable possibility that lives and breathes inside our bones helping others feel deeply, truthfully, with faith, humor, love and trust.
