This seminar offers a practical, beginner-friendly introduction to successful houseplant care. Participants will explore the fundamentals of plant needs including light, water, soil, and environmental conditions. The session also covers how to identify common problems such as pests, stress, and nutrient deficiencies, and how to choose plants suited to different home environments.

Presenter: Heather Robertson is a seasoned horticulturist with experience in both interiorscape and greenhouse production. She graduated from Alabama A & M University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Heather owned and operated a small interiorscape business, where she applied her expertise in designing and maintaining indoor plant environments. Building on this experience, she later established her own greenhouse in Maryland, where she cultivated a diverse selection of plants including herbs, annuals, perennials, and indoor plants. These plants were sold at local farmer’s markets in Maryland, allowing her to share her passion for plants with the local community.
