Rooted - Sixth formers retreat - Coventry Youth for Christ
About this Event
The journey into adulthood is full of huge transition moments; from school to uni or work, from living with your family to moving in with new people, from home to a new city, from the youth ministry to the young adults ministry, your whole life is ahead of you! At Coventry Youth for Christ we want you to be spiritually prepared for the next stage of your life and equipped to navigate some of these biggest steps, that's why we're hosting Rooted - Sixth Formers Retreat. Open to all in Coventry in Years 12-13.
Studies suggest that for young people that grew up in the Church, after leaving home and graduating from the youth ministry, only around 20-25% will find a church to belong to and continue their walk with Jesus in a faith community. But we believe this generation is different! After the retreat you'll have the confidence, determination and most importantly the practical advice on how to remain rooted in God and in the church well beyond your youth and into the rest of your life!
This day will be a day to come together with other people at your stage of life to pray, worship, seek God in the quiet, hear teaching from the Bible, learn from the wisdom of young adults who have gone before you and hear them share everything they wish they knew before embarking on the journey.
