Rooted in the Future: The Forum's 20th Anniversary Celebration

Join us as we celebrate two decades of leadership, community and impact, and step into the next twenty years together.
About this Event

For twenty years, the African American Leadership Forum has protected, documented, and honored Black stories across Minnesota. Now we are designing Black futures. Join us as we celebrate two decades of leadership and community impact, as we step into the next twenty years together.

This is not a traditional gala. Rooted in the Future is an immersive cultural experience that unfolds as a story in three chapters:

Remember: Walk through a living archive of our first twenty years, with photography, documentary film, oral histories, artifacts, and interactive storytelling. The evening includes the premiere of a documentary honoring the people and moments that shaped The Forum.

Honor: Celebrate the elders, leaders, partners, innovators, and emerging visionaries who made this work possible through a blessing, storytelling, performance, and our Community Honors: the Legacy, Cultural Architect, and Future Builder Awards.

Imagine: Hear our CEO’s vision for the future of The Forum and Black Centered Design, followed by cultural performance and immersive creative moments.

Expect live music, great food, and generations of leaders, artists, and changemakers gathered under one roof.

Our past is our foundation. Our future is our responsibility. The next twenty years begin here.
