🐚Rooted in Nature: Biomimicry🐢Capture Your Child's Excitement for the Natural World as We Explore Innovation and Engineering Through the Lens of Nature!
What is Biomimicry?
Biomimicry is the process of observing and then imitating nature to solve human challenges!
🐚In this workshop we will:
* Discuss examples of biomimicry in human engineering
* Participate in biomimicry project-based learning from start to finish
* Explore principles of herbalism and botany
* Gain hands on time and support working on an original idea to take home, perhaps inspired with a biomimicry project for the fall semester
* Inspire a deeper look at nature and it's potential in STEM
🐚Who It's For: Kids ages 5-12 who love to explore nature, learn, and play outside! Younger siblings welcome.
When: Thursday, September 18
Time: 10:00am- 11:30am, option to stay and free play afterward! Can even bring a lunch.
Where: Mead Gardens
What to Bring: Water bottle, nature journal and colored pencils, curiosity, and a spirit of adventure!
Cost: $20 per child (supplies included)
UA/PEP eligible for reimbursement (invoice and certification at request)
