About this Event
Rooted in Community is coming to Winnipeg! Join us at TakeHome BIPOC Arthouse on November 16th from 1:30-3:30 PM for a climate emotions workshop and letter-writing blitz!
With extreme weather events on the rise, it's important to lean on each other and to create spaces to engage with climate emotions, while also channeling our grief, anger, and hope into action. Join us for collage-making to dream about what a climate resilient future looks like! We'll also have postcards you can send to all levels of government asking for real climate action.
There will be snacks, new friends to make, and a chance to win a Climate Dreaming Journal from Shake Up the Establishment!

About From Root to Sky

From Root to Sky is climate-centre program created to foster kinship and community among racialized and marginalized communities by promoting wellness and healing through art, climate justice and anti-racist action, and storytelling. This is a closed space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour to build community and find solidarity through lived and living experiences. If you do not belong to these communities, we kindly ask that you do not register.

Transportation and Parking

Public street parking available, 2 hours free on Saturdays.
There are also bike racks available at the corner of Arthur St. and Bannatyne Ave. Please bring your own bike locks.

Washrooms on the 1st floor have wheelchair accessible stalls with handrails, but do not have automatic doors.
