Rooted Connections: Pussy Bites Back (International Women's Month)

Welcome to Rooted Connections: Session 3 - Pussy Bites Back event! Join us on Sun March 30th, 2025, at 12:30 PM at the Lopez Urban Farm for folks from the Queer, Trans, and Black, Indigenous People of Color communities.

This is part of monthly meet-ups all about self-discovery and exploration of our place in the world that wants us to be minimized, hated, and lose our rights for self-advocation. This space is on the farm in nature where we will celebrate our existence through community discussions, creating action through self-care, and tapping into our talents such as a response to what we are experiencing.

Expect to come together, create community, celebrate our uniqueness in this world, and be given time to create a song, poem, dance movement, short story, painting, and drawing in response to thought-provoking prompts in order to center the queer, trans, and BIPOC experiences in our own storytelling and art.

This event aims to provide a safe and inclusive community. We need to come together more than ever! Each minority needs to take a stand against the tyranny we are facing. Let us do it together!

At the end of the session, be prepared to share your piece of self-expression with others and be celebrated for it.

Info: You can paint, write a song, create a poem/short story, make body movements, doodle, draw, or do anything else you want! So bring your drawing materials, paints, crayons, notepads, pens, musical instruments, etc. Also you can work in groups, pairs, or by yourself.

Info: You can show case what you created. This is the magic of healing come to life!
