Join us at Singacoustic for an intimate evening with award-winning singer-songwriter Rooster Blackspur.
Raised in the Alaskan wilderness, shaped by the high desert of New Mexico and now based in Nashville, Rooster brings a commanding voice and emotionally honest storytelling to her blend of folk-roots, country rock and soulful Americana. Named Singer-Songwriter of the Year at the 2021 New Mexico Music Awards, she has performed at the Sisters Folk Festival, Britt Festival, Aladdin Theater and venues across the country.
Her latest album, Nashville (The Cinderella Sessions), was recorded live at Nashville’s historic Cinderella Sound Studio with an accomplished group of musicians that included Charlie McCoy, Bill Cooley and Steve Hinson. Her live performances combine original songs, personal stories and a magnetic stage presence that draws listeners into every song.
