Roosevelt Collier, known as “The Dr.”, is a 4× Grammy-nominated pedal steel guitarist and the music director/bandleader for Jelly Roll. A frequent collaborator with Tedeschi Trucks Band, he has built a reputation for bringing the pedal steel out front as a true lead instrument.
Raised in the House of God Church in Florida, Roosevelt draws from the sacred steel tradition, shaping a sound rooted in gospel. He first gained attention with his family band, The Lee Boys, before stepping out with his own trio and touring more than 50 countries across six continents.
