Sponsored by The Nature PlaceZoning determines where and how nearly everything is built in our communities. In La Crosse, where our beloved bluffs, rivers, and marsh provide immense environmental and social value, it is critical to consider how zoning affects these spaces – now and in the future.
Join Andrew Ericson, Sustainability Coordinator at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and Natalie Heneghan, Community Outreach Director at Habitat for Humanity, for a discussion on the relationship between zoning and conservation. We will consider how communities across the country have used zoning codes to reduce emissions, promote active transportation, and support a healthy community.
