Fishing the Good Fight’s Rome Men’s Group is a monthly, in-person group led by licensed therapist Brian Harris, created for men who want a space to talk about real life—with less pressure, less posturing, and more honesty.
This group blends therapist-guided conversation with the kind of grounded, human connection that’s often missing in men’s lives. Each month will explore a theme that’s practical, relatable, and relevant to everyday challenges—relationships, stress, emotions, identity, and purpose.
First Topic: What Is a Men’s Group, Really?
Many guys are curious about men’s groups… and also unsure what actually happens in one. This opening session is a low-pressure introduction that goes beyond explanations and lets you experience what a healthy men’s group can feel like.
Together, we’ll explore:
What makes a men’s group different from just “talking with friends”
How group spaces can support growth, clarity, and connection
What it looks like to speak honestly—and listen well—without needing to fix or impress
How to decide if this kind of space is right for you
