Join the Rome-Floyd County Library as they welcome the Rome Area Flute Ensemble! This special event is free to the public and will take place in the Coosa Room of the Rome-Floyd County Library.The Rome Area Flute Ensemble was formed during the summer of 2008 and consists of experienced flutists from NW Georgia and the surrounding area. Our members have performed in various ensembles, but welcome the opportunity to explore literature arranged for a flute ensemble. Our first performance was at the Creative Arts Guild’s FESTIVAL in 2008 and our first recital was May 15, 2011 at West Rome Christian Church. We have performed at Floyd Medical Center, numerous assisted living and nursing home facilities, as well as prior concerts of the Roman Festival Brass, NW GA Winds and ceremonial music for Rome and Floyd County Peace Officers Memorial Day Service. Our ensemble has consisted of as many as eight members performing together.
