Tonight's new Romantic Music Night theme was requested by Scott Gamble.
Richard Powers teaches classes from 7:15pm to 9 with his sweetheart Tracey. Richard is our dance music DJ from 9pm to midnight.
7:15 - Sweetheart Waltz Variations. Sweetheart, also known as Shadow variations, can be easily and spontaneously creative. Most variations are designed to flow, and sometimes to delight, with new entrances, exits and permutations. Add variety to both your rotary and cross-step waltzing while keeping up with others on the dance floor. These variations are also easy for someone who has never waltzed before!
8:00 - The Tango from "Scent of a Woman" This is one of the all-time best movie tangos, and perfect for Romantic Music Night. Al Pacino's tango in "Scent of a Woman" contains several wonderfully dramatic but leadable social tango figures, including Counter-Crossing Ochos, Cradle Promenade, and of course "Hoo-wah!"
These are ALL-LEVELS CLASSES, no previous experience required.
9 pm - Dance Party! Especially romantic music for waltz, swing, polka, cha cha, cross-step waltz, bachata, Lindy, salsa, tango, WCS, hustle and more!
Doors open at 6:45.
Classes start at 7:15. Please arrive 15 minutes early to avoid the rush.
Dj dancing from 9:00 to 11:45
$15 general. $10 for students with ID.
Cash, Check, Credit Card, Apple Pay. We do not accept Venmo. Tickets at the door.
No partner necessary. We rotate rapidly in class.
All Ages. Casual comfortable attire.
Masks are optional.
Free Masks. Free bottles of water.
