Bringing theatre to D3. Uncover the secrets, rivalry & revelations of 'Roman Fever' with wine & nibbles. All Proceeds- St.Francis Hospice
About this Event

At Sweeney's we're working on doing something a bit different, something that brings the community together through art, culture and workshops, and to use our space beyond the daytime cafe.

That's why we're delighted to welcome Monica Kennedy and Aoibheann Dunne, two accomplished actors from the Irish theatre scene, to perform the two- woman play ROMAN FEVER.

On the night, guests will be welcomed with a glass of wine on arrival (Italian - lets stick with the theme!) and a second glass to enjoy during the show. Afterwards, enjoy the rest of your time mingling with guests and the performers over cheese & nibbles and of course, more wine!

All ticket sale proceeds will be donated to St. Francis Hospice in memory of Niamh Sweeney, in honour of the first anniversary of her passing.

About the Play
Written by Edith Wharton in 1934, Roman Fever follows two middle-aged American women, Mrs. Slade and Mrs. Ansley, as they reminisce while overlooking the Roman Forum. Beneath their polite conversation lie years of jealousy, tension, and long-kept secrets. As the evening unfolds, a shocking revelation challenges everything they thought they knew about each other.
