A brand new international poetry competition is coming!
For the first time the city of Rome and WOW - Incendi Spontanei will host the European Poetry Slam Championship 2022 this December, in collaboration with WPSO - World Poetry Slam Organization, italian national poetry slam organization (LIPS - Lega Italiana Poetry Slam), San Lorenzo Art District and other partners like Regione Lazio, Assessorato alla Cultura di Roma Capitale and Embassies and foreign Cultural Institutes in Italy.
The international poetry festival will include semifinals and the final of the European
Championship, together with some extra events like talk, performances and spoken music jam session & open mic. The complete programme will be released soon!
WHAT IS POETRY SLAM?
Poetry slam is a performance poetry competition show where you decide who wins.
Five people randomly chosen between the audience will vote their favorite perfomance and choose the winner. Only three rules: max 3 minutes for each performance; poetry pieces only written by the artist who performs; no music, costumes, make-up.
EU SLAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Performers from all over Europe will be hosted for the occasion: 24 performers will compete, representing their nation and bringing their own pieces of poetry in their own language to the European Poetry slam 2022 stage. But fear not: there will be projected translation support and subtitles in English and Italian.
At the end of these days of poetry together, the new Poetry Slam Champion or Champion in Europe for 2022 will be proclaimed!

È in arrivo una nuova competizione internazionale di poesia orale!
Per la prima volta la città di Roma e WOW - Incendi Spontanei ospiteranno il Campionato Europeo di Poetry Slam 2022, il prossimo dicembre in collaborazione con WPSO - World Poetry Slam Organization, LIPS - Lega Italiana Poetry Slam, San Lorenzo Art District e con il patrocinio di Regione Lazio e Assessorato alla Cultura di Roma Capitale, insieme a diverse Ambasciate e Istituti di Cultura esteri a Roma.
Il festival internazionale di poesia comprenderà le semifinali e la finale del Campionato Europeo 2022, insieme ad alcuni eventi extra come talk, performance, jam session e open mic. Il programma completo verrà pubblicato a breve!
POETRY SLAM: COS'È?
Il Poetry Slam è una gara di poesia performativa in cui dei performer si sfidano a colpi di versi in tre turni ad eliminazione, in cui è il pubblico a decidere chi vince!
Cinque giurati scelti casualmente tra il pubblico solleveranno le lavagnette per ogni performance con una votazione da 0 a 10.
Solo tre regole: massimo 3 minuti per ogni performance; brani di poesia scritti solo dall'artista che si esibisce; niente musica, costumi, trucco.
CAMPIONATO EU SLAM
Per l'occasione verranno ospitatə performer da tutta Europa: si sfideranno 24 performer, che rappresenteranno la propria nazione e porteranno sul palco degli Europei di Poetry slam 2022 i propri brani di poesia nella loro lingua. Ma non temete: ci sarà il supporto della traduzione proiettata e dei sottotitoli in inglese e italiano.
Al termine di queste giornate di poesia insieme, verrà proclamato il nuovo Campione o la nuova Campionessa di Poetry Slam in Europa per il 2022!
