ROLLER DERBY

Roller Derby n’est pas seulement le nom d’un sport de roller féministe, mais aussi celui d’un duo dream pop originaire de Hambourg, formé en 2020. Mélangeant des mélodies 60s et des textures nostalgiques 80s avec de la pop indie moderne, Roller Derby crée un son à la fois onirique et percutant. La voix aérienne de Philine Meyer se déploie avec aisance sur le jeu de guitare chaleureux et mélodique de Manuel Romero Soria.
Ayant joué à guichets fermés dans toute l’Europe ces dernières années, Roller Derby s’est également produit dans des festivals renommés tels que Reeperbahn Festival, TGE et SXSW (États-Unis).
Avec When The Night Comes, Roller Derby livre un 1er album qui puise sa force dans la subtilité et la profondeur émotionnelle. Produit par Moses Schneider (Pixies), ce disque combine un son international à une esthétique DIY charmante. À travers 10 titres, le groupe crée une atmosphère mélancolique et rêveuse, évoquant les meilleurs moments d’Alvvays, Beach House et Mazzy Star.
