Roles and Scripts: On Identity and Gender
About this Event
About the Programme:
Most of us grew up with scripts that told us how to take up space, how to handle our emotions, and what our role was in a room. We were taught to be the silent provider or the selfless nurturer. But what happens when these scripts harm more than guide? Join us as we examine these scripts and how we can reclaim our own narratives based on who we are, not who we were told to be.
This is part of a series of gatherings for the launch of the second volume of @thewhitebooksg
About the Book:
The second volume of White brings us to an intrinsic element of our lives and community: food. More than mere sustenance, food offers a universal language that helps break down barriers and invites deeper conversations. Through a blend of recipes, essays and interviews, this volume highlights how food can create intimate spaces for us to connect to our personal and collective well-being.
