The month of October is National Farm to School Month!
Did you know that Rogue Valley Farm to School educates children about our food system through hands-on farm and garden programs, and by increasing local foods in school meals?
Each month, RVF2S school-based educators serve samples of a local, seasonal fruit or vegetable to all partnership students in their own cafeteria. Students vote on what they thought about the new foods to foster a celebratory culture around trying new foods. Produce is purchased locally, directly supporting farms.
