Touring in the West Country with KEVIN SANDERS (double bass ) and NEIL BURNS (guitar ), Roger Beaujolais is considered one of the top vibes players in Europe. Accoladed as a session player over the last 3 decades, having worked with Robert Plant, The Chevalier Brothers, Paul Weller, Kirsty MacColl to name a few. As a jazz band leader signed to the Acid Jazz label in the 90’s, he topped the USA jazz/funk charts. Today he mostly performs with his quartet and trio that include some of the best UK jazz musicians, playing virtually acoustic jazz, original compositions, plus hard bop classics. A new album “Bags of Vibes“, is a tribute to Milt Jackson. He is off to Tokyo in June with Fairground Attraction of which he was a founder member and who have just reformed.
