The night concludes with the powerful beauty of Mozart’s Requiem, performed by your Austin Symphony Orchestra, soloists, and the voices of Chorus Austin. As Mozart’s final masterpiece, this work is filled with emotional depth, dramatic intensity, and spiritual grace, an experience that promises to move and inspire.
Before this breathtaking finale, internationally acclaimed guitarist Grisha Goryachev brings his virtuosity to Rodrigo’s beloved "Concierto de Aranjuez," a passionate, poetic tribute to Spanish soul and sound. The evening opens with Dan Perttu’s "Nimue and Her Fairies" (premiere of full orchestration), a shimmering orchestral fantasy rooted in Arthurian legend.
