Entries are extended to this Friday July 2nd at 5:00 pm for the July 10th and 11th rodeo.
To enter the July 10th and 11th rodeo you must call-in/text entries by June 30, 2021 to Misty @ 530.870.1521 by 5 pm PST.
This applies to all events.
Rodeo Check in – 8 am to 8:40 am
Rodeo Starts at – 9 am
Dress code - Western Attire is required behind the chutes and in the arena

Q: What are the entry fees at a Wild West Buckers Rodeo?
A: Fees are per event
• $80 – Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling and Breakaway
• $60 – Barrels and Poles
Q: What are the age groups at a Wild West Buckers Rodeo?
A:
• Bareback, Saddle Bronc
o Peewee 9 and Under
o Junior 10 – 11 years old
o Senior 12 – 14 years old
o Novice 15 – 19 years old (must be a high school student for the 2021/2022 school year. If you graduate in 2021 you may compete in all of our 2021 Rodeos). You cannot have your PRCA/WPRA Permit Card or PRCA/WPRA Card.
• Steer Wrestling – from horse
o 8 to 19 years old (must be a high school student for the 2021/2022 school year. If you graduate in 2021 you may compete in all of our 2021 Rodeos)
• Breakaway
o Girls 13 years old and under
o Girls 14 to 19 years old (must be a high school student for the 2021/2022 school year. If you graduate in 2021 you may compete in all of our 2021 Rodeos)
o Boys 13 years old and under
o Boys 14 to 19 years old (must be a high school student for the 2021/2022 school year. If you graduate in 2021 you may compete in all of our 2021 Rodeos)
• Barrels and Poles
o Peewee 10 and Under
o Junior 11 – 13 years old
o Senior 14 – 19 years old
Q: What rules and regulations due I follow?
A: Events are guided by the PRCA rules; where not applicable, events are guided by Wild West Buckers.
Q: What is the Payback at a Wild West Buckers Rodeo:
A: 70%
• 1 to 3 entries = 1 payout 100%
• 4 to 5 entries = 2 payouts 60% 1st and 40% 2nd
• 6 or more entries = 3 payouts 50% 1st, 30% 2nd and 20% 3rd
Q: How do I enter a Wild West Buckers Rodeo?
A: Entries must be called/texted 10 days prior to each rodeo by 5:00 pm PST to Misty at 530-870-1521
• April 17, 201 Rodeo call or text by April 7th unless you are attending the clinic for Bareback and Saddle Bronc only
• May 8, 2021 Entries are due by April 28th

 15 Years old may compete in the Cowboy Channel Jr. NFR and the Jr. Rodeo Championship

• Barrels, Girl’s/Boy’s Breakaway, Steer Wrestling (Timed Events)
o 8-15 years old. Note: for Breakaway Girls and Boys have their own division
 15 Years old may compete in the Cowboy Channel Jr. NFR and the Jr. Rodeo Championship

• Rough Stock 15-19 years old compete together as one age group.
• Timed Events: 8-19 years old compete together as one age group.

A: Yes. Go to www.jrrodeo.org and select the Join Us tab.

Q: Do I have to be a Jr. Rodeo member to compete at a Wild West Buckers Rodeo?
A: No
Q: Insurance Fee?
A: Yes, there is an additional $10 fee per Jr. Rodeo member per event per day. This is a Jr. Rodeo policy and all money collected goes to them. If you are already qualified for the Jr. NFR and are not competing for the qualifier you do not need to pay the additional insurance fee.
