Rocky Horror Picture Show má padesát let od své premiéry a český shadowcast deset, a to je třeba pořádně oslavit. Připravte si svoje prvotřídní obleky, rudé rtěnky, rozparky sahající vysoko nad kolena a vstupte do světa nepopsatelné audiovizuální rozkoše.
Už 1. listopadu zavládne v Aeru dekadence nejodvážnějšího střihu. Latex povolí, make-up poteče a hlasivky vás budou pálit víc než podpatky po půlnoci.
Dammit, Janet… kup si lístek!
Pro nezasvěcené: Rocky Horror Picture Show není jen film, ale iniciační rituál v síťovaných punčochách. Muzikál tak sprostě přízemní a tak božsky přepálený, že z něj praskají švy reality i nervy všech slušňáků. Brad a Janet, ukázkový páreček z učebnice mravnosti, zabloudí do sídla doktora Frank-N-Furtera, vědce, bonvivána a sexuálního guru v korzetu, který si zrovna ušil vlastního blonďatého Adonise. Myslíte, že Brad s Janet skončí pohádkově „šťastně až navěky“? Houby. Přijďte do našeho transylvánského reje a zjistíte, jak chutná happy end podle Frank-N-Furtera.
Při premiéře snímek spadl na hubu, ale v půlnočních projekcích našel spásu. Diváci začali křičet na plátno a přehrávat scény přímo před obrazem. Tak se zrodil shadowcast a od té doby se kina mění v jeviště nestoudnosti. Rocky Horror není film, ale neřízený rej, do kterého jste vtaženi spolu s postavami, ať se vám to líbí nebo ne.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show marks fifty years since its premiere, and the Czech shadowcast celebrates ten years. That deserves one hell of a party. Dress to K*ll, color your lips blood-red, let the slits climb above the knee and surrender yourself to a night of shameless cinematic pleasure.
On November 1st, Aero will drown in decadence of the boldest cut. Latex will rip, make-up will melt, and your vocal cords will burn hotter than stilettos after midnight.

For the uninitiated: The Rocky Horror Picture Show isn’t just a movie, it’s an initiation rite in fishnets. A musical so shamelessly base and so gloriously overblown it splits reality at the seams and rattles the nerves of every straight-laced soul. Brad and Janet, the perfect couple from a morality textbook, stumble into the mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter – scientist, bon vivant and sexual guru in a corset – who has just stitched together his own blonde Adonis. Think Brad and Janet ride off into a fairytale “happily ever after”? Think again. Step into our Transylvanian revel and taste what a happy end means in Frank-N-Furter’s world.
At its premiere the film flopped, but at midnight screenings it rose from the grave. Audiences shouted at the screen and acted out scenes in front of the projection. From that chaos came the shadowcast, and since then cinemas have become stages of shamelessness. Rocky Horror is no simple screening, it is an unruly revel that drags you in with the characters, whether you like it or not.
