Charleston's Absent Friends head to Itinerant Literate for Park Circle Pride for a shadow cast performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!Charleston's Absent Friends (CAF) are the only active Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast in the Lowcountry, and they are headed to Park Circle Pride with Itinerant Literate Books! This is a bring-your-own seating event, so pack your camp chairs and blankets for tailgate-style viewing.
There will be a:
-Pride COSTUME CONTEST for a killer prize
-RAFFLE BASKET featuring all sorts of Rocky Horror fun! $1 tickets to enter, and
-Pride-themed VIRGIN SACRIFICE game with prizes from our CAF sponsors!
CAF will also have tons of Rocky merch for sale. Sales help CAF move forward with our most noble non-profit mission.
Itinerant Literate will have an outdoor shop featuring LGBTQIA+ and Rocky Horror books and merchandise.
VIP Tickets
There are limited VIP tickets available, with which you will receive:
-Priority seating
-5 free raffle tickets
-Front of line for merch
-Front of line for photo ops
-VIP button/pin
Food & Drink
CAF will offer a snack stand with soft drinks and water and an assortment of baked goods and salty snacks for sale.
There are also several great options in Park Circle for bringing your own dinner and drinks. Our recommended food purveyors are:
Accent on Wine : selection of charcuterie boards and to-go wine, including House Wine's special edition Pride bubbly (a portion of all sales for the week will go toward AFFA and We Are Family). You can order your board ahead for pickup at a specific time so it is ready to pick up on your way to the show.

About the Show
What is a shadow cast? The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be performed live by actors, while the movie plays behind them onscreen. There are screen-accurate costumes, props, and set pieces. This tradition features prop bags, callbacks, and all the traditional Rockyisms that have been alive and well since 1975! Come transport yourself into Transylvania for a night you will not forget!
