About this Event
Rockin’ Scott and the Hot Shots, the newly-formed band of longtime, seasoned veteran players from the Night Flight All Stars, have reunited to cook up a tasty musical gumbo of fun for listeners! Their music is spiced with boogie-woogie, blues, and R&B-influenced roots of rock & roll. Pianist Scott Alexander, a gifted boogie-woogie and barrelhouse-style pianist and vocalist has been playing and singing blues and rock and roll for a half-century, to great acclaim. Joining him is Mike Perry, a local bassist who has been in high demand for decades, and Jesse Jordan, a beloved drummer and drum teacher who has played locally and toured nationally. Follow the link below to get to know the band!
Special guest Ben Keiser has been lighting up the Southeast music scene as a highly in-demand freelance player, performing with artists like Lulu the Giant, Ike Stubblefield, Voodoo Soup, Stan Ray’s Soul Satisfaction, and Danielle Hicks. He appears regularly with his own trio, The Ben Keiser Band.
A wine and cheese reception to meet the performers follows the concert in Rahn Hall.
