Rockford Alumnae Chapter's 40th Anniversary: A Ruby Celebration

Chartered on November 18, 1984, the Rockford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. became the first non-profit African American Greek Letter Organization to provide public service to this community. From the beginning, the 13 Charter Members understood the importance of administering public service projects and programs that promote human welfare and invest in our youth. On the shoulders of our Charter Members, the Deltas of Rockford Alumnae continue to expand the Sorority’s commitment to public service in local communities, address national issues, and supply assistance towards international crises. With 40 years of service to Rockford, Freeport, and Winnebago County citizens, Rockford Alumnae continues to thrive.

To celebrate this 40-year impact, Rockford Alumnae is hosting a 3-day celebration for community members and Deltas from near and far. We are excited to have Rev. Dr. Gwendolyn E. Boyd, 22nd National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., as our guest speaker for the entire weekend!

The celebratory weekend will consist of the following:

• Friday, Oct. 25th -  Social at 6:00 p.m. - open to the community
• Saturday, Oct 26th - Ceremony and Luncheon at 9:00 a.m. - Closed, DELTA Only
• Saturday, Oct 26th - Ruby Gala at  6:00 p.m. - open to the community
• Sunday, Oct 27th - Brunch at 9:00 a.m. - open to the community

Please join us in the 40th Anniversary Ruby Celebration on October 25 - 27, 2024 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront, 416 S. Main Street, in downtown Rockford, Illinois.
