Rockettes Dance Team Tryouts

Thank you for your interest in being a member of our award-winning dance team!

Tryouts will be held on Oct 22 & Oct 23, 2024. Please bring a headshot photo, this does not need to be professional done you can take a photo with your phone but please print out and present it upon check in . You Must be cleared on Rank One to tryout! No Exceptions! There is a tryout Fee of $10.

These dates are mandatory and missing them could result in you not being considered for a spot on the dance line for Rockettes 2024-2025.

Current High School Students will need to arrive promptly from 3:30pm-6:00pm. in appropriate attire. Location to be announced.

What to Wear/Bring:

1) Dress in White Tops & Black Athletic Bottoms, Socks and/or Dance Shoes

2) Your application and headshots (do not wait until the last minute to gather these items

3) Water bottle (no sharing)

4) Hand Towel

5) Healthy Snack (i.e., Fruit, Granola Bar, etc.)

Rockette Competition Dance Team

The Carefully chosen, First rate Rockette Dance Team is a newly formed competition dance team that competes at GHSA sanctioned competitions as well as other local competitions. This team is considered by the state to be a sport team. Members are expected to attend Dance Camp in June. The Rockettes are exposed to all genres of dance but concentrate on Street-style Hip hop. Dancers are expected to perform at Competitions, Choral concerts, select half-Time, and other performances as scheduled at churches and other venues.

Competition dance season is from October-March. Other practices may be scheduled prior to October.

The Team will consist of a Varsity team of approximately 8-9 dancers and 1 Team Manager and a JV Team of approximately 8-9 dancers and 1 Team Manager.

The dues for the season are $500 total and participation in fundraisers.
