Join us for Rock the Rec, our live music fundraiser, back by popular demand, featuring fantastic local bands Orchestra Fantasma and The Hindmost!
We’re raising money to support Upper Norwood Rec, helping to nurture and protect this much-loved green space for the whole community.

Friends of Upper Norwood Rec

Friends of the Rec was set up as a community group in October 2022 by a group of local volunteers who felt it was important to protect and nurture this beautiful parkland and leisure space which is loved by so many but had become neglected in recent years.
Since then the group has achieved many great things including planting hundreds of young trees and bulbs, and various shrubs at our monthly community volunteer days and during team sessions. Not to mention keeping the park free of litter! We have also run two community pond digging days and have put up bird and bat boxes decorated by locals which you can spot all around the Rec, along with six new benches and a big picnic table. We would love to continue making improvements to this wonderful space.
