Rock The Lake 2025 Announces First Wave of Artists: Simple Plan, The Sheepdogs, Sam Roberts Band, and Down With WebsterRock The Lake (RTL), presented by GSL Group, has announced the first wave of artists for its much-anticipated eighth rendition of the festival, with Canadian punk-rock heavyweights Simple Plan and fellow countrymen The Sheepdogs, Sam Roberts Band, and Down With Webster. The three-day festival will take place from July 11–13, 2025, outside Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C.
Simple Plan, the Montreal-based band known for pop-punk anthems like "Perfect" and "Welcome to My Life," will lead the charge at RTL this summer. With an energetic stage presence and a catalogue of hits, Simple Plan will bring high-energy nostalgia to the RTL stage on Saturday night.
The Sheepdogs, from Saskatoon, bring their classic rock vibes and signature harmonies to Kelowna. Known for "I Don't Know" and "Feeling Good," the band’s retro rock sound will add a laid-back, feel-good atmosphere to the festival.
Sam Roberts Band will bring their renowned live show and history of hit songs to the stage. From “Brother Down” to “Afterlife”, it will be a powerful non-stop rock ’n roll event.
Toronto’s Down With Webster will get the party going with genre-blending sound and catchy tracks like "Your Man" and "Whoa Is Me." Expect dynamic performances, danceable beats, and an electrifying live set.
Local Battle of the Bands winners CrushXO and Lucky Monkey will join the four bands announced today. The winners earned their spots on the RTL 2025 lineup through the competition at Red Bird Brewing on February 28 and March 1, 2025. The event, which intended to add one emerging local band to the bill of established artists, showcased such great talent that organizers ultimately chose to add a second winner.
