Join us every Wednesday from January 8 to February 19 for an exciting educational series, Rock Solid Wednesdays! Each session will explore a fascinating Earth science topic, from geology and meteorology to paleontology, topographic maps, and much more! January 7th: MINERALS (MINERAL IDENTIFICATIONMADE EASY)
Did you know that you tread over buried treasure every day?Come learn about the hidden wealth below your feet as we discover hands-on waysto find and identify Earth's valuable natural resources...rocks and minerals.You’re welcome to bring those unknown specimens that you have found, andtogether we can use special tests that geologists use to discover the name ofyour mystery specimens. This program will be hosted at the Nature Center.
