Get ready to clap, create, move, and make some noise at Kidz@122!Join us for Rock, Rosetta, Rock! A Musical Journey, an interactive experience where youth will explore the life and musical legacy of Sister Rosetta Tharpe — the groundbreaking artist often called the “Godmother of Rock and Roll.”
Through storytelling, rhythm activities, and hands-on fun, participants will learn more about the woman whose influence helped shape music as we know it today. Kids will also create their own cardboard guitars, enjoy a mini performance, and take part in activities that bring music, creativity, and history together.
Programs like this help young people connect with history in ways that feel fun, active, and memorable.
