The Commons Climbing Gym is pleased to present Rock 'N' Hold--our 2025 Endurance Competition--on Saturday, September 27th from 12 to 3 PM! Find your climbing partner and come rock out with us! Your dynamic duo will be sending as many routes as you collectively can in three hours to score as many points as possible! Immediately following the comp, we will be awarding the team with the most completed routes--as well as the team with the best rockstar attire--with some fabulous prizes, including the coveted gold holds! After the award ceremony, we invite you to join us for some post-comp festivitiesincluding a community potluck, a rockin’ photobooth, and some rad games with friends!
Individual competitors will assign themselves a category based on their personal red point grade. The red point grade ranges are as follows:
*5.5 to 5.9
*5.10- to 5.10+
*5.11- to 5.11+
*5.12- and up
After assigning themselves a category, individual competitors will be assigned a minimum grade they can earn points from. These grade minimums will be disclosed on the day of the competition. The two members of any one team do not have to compete within the same category. As the competition progresses, each team will keep track of routes they complete in order to tabulate their team’s collective score. Competitors must complete the routes they are attempting in full and without falling in order to have these routes count towards their final scores.
