Brace yourself for the electrifying performance of the day’s featured band, Rock the Planet, led by Zanesville native Tom Weisand, the legendary founder of The Muffs (which later changed its name to MONEY). In the 1980s, The Muffs/MONEY were a dominant force on the Midwest rock scene, opening for national acts such as Cheap Trick, Mitch Ryder, Night Ranger, UFO, Iron Maiden, Donnie Iris, Utopia, Red Ryder, and Humble Pie.
ROCK THE PLANET BAND is celebrating 10 years of writing and playing original music. Members include drummer Rick Hall, who played for the Godz and played drums on all The Muffs and MONEY recordings. George Bower III sings and plays bass. Kevin Silva, who has recorded five albums of his own material plays guitar and Keyboards.
Together, they have created seven albums containing 94 songs.
