Get ready to rock out for a great cause at our awesome in-person event, Rock for CHOC! Join incredible local bands for an evening of fun and fundraising for CHOC hospital (now called Rady Children's Health Orange County)! Whether you're here to dance, chill, or just soak up the atmosphere, this is the place to be.
This event is hosted by team #Carterstrongforever who are raising funds and awareness for CHOC hospital in memory of Carter Ankeny who battled cancer for two years and was treated at CHOC. Tragically Carter passed away suddenly due to side effects related to cancer treatments. Carter never feared going to CHOC and his family is forever grateful for the care CHOC provided during his treatment. Carter embraced life and was a key figure in the local OC ska music scene even while undergoing cancer treatments! He even had a benefit concert in his memory, Carterpalooza, in August 2016 with local ska bands and everal bands played his memorial in October 2017 celebrating his life. Even after his passing, Carter continues to inspire his friends and family to spread kindness , live life without fear, and to find a cure for cancer. Carter has been named the 2026 CHOC Walk Ambassador this year! (See video link below for more on Carter's story). We are honored to continue to give back in his memory, and what an epic way to do this with a rock show benefitting CHOC and raising funds for health care programs and research!
