ROCK DA MIC: World AIDS Day Concert
About this Event
ITAVFoundation is bringing back ROCK DA MIC, our annual World AIDS Day Concert, for an afternoon of music, creativity, health awareness, and community connection!
For the past nine years, Rock da Mic has created a space where youth, young adults, and families can come together to enjoy live entertainment while having real, honest conversations about HIV/AIDS, sexual health, prevention, and the importance of getting tested.
We're bringing that same energy back this December, with even more opportunities to connect our community with healthcare resources, essential household products, and support for the entire family.
WHAT TO EXPECT
LIVE MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
Experience an afternoon of live performances, local talent, music, and creative expression. We're using the power of entertainment to bring people together for a purpose.
REAL CONVERSATIONS. REAL EDUCATION.
Let's talk about sexual health without the shame, judgment, or misinformation. From HIV prevention and understanding transmission to the importance of regular testing, we're creating space for conversations that matter.
FREE CONFIDENTIAL HEALTH SCREENINGS
Knowing your status is an important part of taking care of yourself. Attendees will have opportunities to access free, voluntary, confidential health screenings, HIV education, and resources through participating healthcare providers.
COMMUNITY CARE & WELLNESS GIVEAWAYS
Taking care of your health also means having access to everyday essentials. We're partnering with businesses and community organizations to provide household necessities, personal hygiene products, wellness items, and other helpful resources to individuals and families.
Care packages and giveaways will be available.
HOLIDAY TOY GIVEAWAY
We're spreading a little extra joy this holiday season! In addition to our health and wellness activities, ITAVFoundation will be distributing toys for children to help bring smiles to families during the holidays.
