Mr. T (Jared Tintle) & the A-Team Band at J. Allen Axson Montessori School are putting on a concert to raise money for a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Hunger Fight.Hunger Fight’s mission is to provide donors, advocates and volunteers the vehicle necessary to end hunger and illiteracy through the provision of nutritious meals to children, seniors, and families in need and age-appropriate books to preschoolers by engaging communities and mobilizing partners.
According to Feeding America, 1 in 6 children in Florida are facing hunger. Florida has the third-highest percentage of adults lacking basic prose literacy skills at 19.7%, equaling a literacy rate of 80.3% (World population review 2022).
These facts are impossible to ignore and something must be done. This is why Mr. T & the A-Team Band, the administration at J Allen Axson Montessori School, and the team at Hunger Fight are bringing you, Rock Axson. An exciting rock concert experience for a great cause. This concert will take you on a journey through a day in the life of a student using rock songs. Mr. T’s past and present students will be singing, lip syncing, instrument playing and even playing some awesome air guitar. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to rock away hunger and illiteracy.
