Stowarzyszenie Krzewienia Kultury ScenaArt oraz Akademickie Centrum Kultury-Klub Od Nowa zapraszają na czwartą edycję Rock Art Festiwal.
Impreza w Toruniu jest jedną z trzech imprez cyklu pod tytułem :
Kujawsko-Pomorskie Programowanie Kultury.
Cykl ten Patronuje Wojewoda Kujawsko-Pomorski Pan Michał Sztybel, a Rock Art Festiwal objął także Patronatem Prezydent Torunia Pan Paweł Gulewski.
Impreza odbędzie się 12 października 2024 w Klubie Od Nowa przy ulicy Jurija Gagarina 37a.
Podczas czwartej edycji Rock Art Festiwal wystąpią trzy zespoły:
Wolverine (Szwecja), Alhena, Over the Under
OVER THE UNDER
Over The Under to zespół działający na Europejskiej scenie od 2016 roku. W drugiej połowie 2017 roku głęboko wzięli sobie do serca ideę rock'n'rolla i postanowili rzucić swoją zwykłą pracę i zagrać 100 koncertów w 100 dni bez żadnej przerwy, zdobywając tym samym rekord świata.
Zespół odbył trzy trasy po Europie, w tym między innymi w UK, Niemczech, Holandii, Belgii, Francji, Danii, Szwecji, Norwegii i Czechach. W sumie zagrali ponad 300 koncertów.
OTU to trzej muzycy z pasją, których jedynym zajęciem jest tworzenie i granie muzyki oraz wspieranie niezależnej sceny muzycznej.

OVER THE UNDER - BIO
Over The Under is a band active on the European scene since 2016. In the second half of 2017, they took the idea of rock'n'roll to heart and decided to quit their regular job and play 100 shows in 100 days without any break, thus breaking a world record.
The band went on three tours around Europe, including the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the Czech Republic. In total, they played over 300 concerts.
OTU are three passionate musicians whose only occupation is creating and playing music and supporting the independent music scene.

ALHENA
Założona w 2010 roku przez grupę utalentowanych i doświadczonych instrumentalistów, bydgoska Alhena powstała z pasji i potrzeby tworzenia. W swojej muzyce zespół łączy elementy rocka i metalu progresywnego z wpływami klimatycznego art rocka i akcentem metalu symfonicznego, a całości dopełnia mocny żeński wokal. Ich ciężkie i wyjątkowe brzmienie najlepiej oddają koncerty na żywo.
Jak mówią o Alhenie dziennikarze magazynu Metal Hammer - „zespół serwuje nam nowoczesnego prog rocka, zahaczającego o rejony typowe dla Dream Theater. W połączeniu z silnym kobiecym głosem daje to naprawdę satysfakcjonujący efekt”.
Debiutancki minialbum „Alhena” został wydany w 2011 roku. Płyta spotkała się z dobrym przyjęciem słuchaczy i zebrała w mediach, zarówno krajowych, jak i zagranicznych, bardzo pochlebne opinie, doczekując się w sumie ponad stu recenzji, w tym między innymi we wspomnianym magazynie Metal Hammer.
4 października 2019 ukazał się album „Breaking the Silence... ...by Scream”. Podobnie jak w przypadku poprzedniego wydawnictwa, płyta otrzymała szereg pozytywnych ocen i cieszyła się dużą popularnością wśród odbiorców.
Zespół zaproszono także do współtworzenia kilku albumów kompilacyjnych, wydanych w kraju („Sampler vol. 5”, „Prog Metal Rock Compilation vol. 1”) i za granicą („Des Filles et des Riffs vol. 3”, „World of Glass vol. 3”, „Virgines Metallium”), na których Alhena pojawiła się obok takich wykonawców jak AnVision, Avandra, Bright Ophidia, Distant Dream, Epica, Jinier, Leaves’ Eyes, Nemesea, Stream Of Passion, Threshold i inni.
Obecnie zespół pracuje nad materiałem na kolejny krążek długogrający, z którego pojedyncze utwory prezentuje na swoich koncertach.

ALHENA - BIO
Founded in 2010 by a group of talented and experienced instrumentalists, Alhena from Bydgoszcz was created out of passion and the need to create. In their music, the band combines elements of rock and progressive metal with influences of atmospheric art rock and an accent of symphonic metal, and the whole is complemented by a strong female vocal. Their heavy and unique sound is best reflected in live concerts.
As the journalists of Metal Hammer magazine say about Alhena - "the band serves us modern prog rock, reaching into areas typical of Dream Theater. Combined with a strong female voice, it gives a really satisfying effect.”
The debut mini-album "Alhena" was released in 2011. The album was well received by listeners and received very favorable opinions in the media, both domestic and foreign, with a total of over a hundred reviews, including in the aforementioned Metal Hammer magazine.
On October 4, 2019, the album "Breaking the Silence... ...by Scream" was released. As with the previous release, the album received a number of positive reviews and was very popular among the audience.
The band was also invited to co-create several compilation albums, released in Poland ("Sampler vol. 5", "Prog Metal Rock Compilation vol. 1") and abroad ("Des Filles et des Riffs vol. 3", "World of Glass vol. .3", "Virgines Metallium"), on which Alhena appeared alongside such artists as AnVision, Avandra, Bright Ophidia, Distant Dream, Epica, Jinier, Leaves' Eyes, Nemesea, Stream Of Passion, Threshold and others.
Currently, the band is working on material for the next full-length album, from which they present individual songs at their concerts.

WOLVERINE
Wolverine zaczynał od grania death metalu z wpływami melodycznymi, ale kiedy w listopadzie 1999 wydali swoją pierwszą EPkę "Fervent Dream", muzyka ewoluowała w kierunku metalu progresywnego. "Fervent Dream" spotkał się z entuzjastycznym przyjęciem na całym świecie i wkrótce został wyprzedany. W związku z wydaniem albumu zespół po raz pierwszy zagrał także poza Szwecją.
Na początku 2001 roku Fervent Dream został ponownie wydany w formie digi-packu, zremasterowany i zawierający dwa dodatkowe utwory. Latem tego samego roku zespół udał się do Niemiec i nagrał kontynuację "Fervent Dream" pt. "The Window Purpose".
Album ukazał się w grudniu i odzew po raz kolejny był przytłaczający; dzięki albumowi zespół otrzymał w styczniu 2002 roku tytuł Albumu Miesiąca od holenderskiego magazynu metalowego Aardschok. Po raz kolejny Wolverine koncertował po Europie, promując album.
W 2003 roku nakładem Elitist Records ukazał się nastrojowy album "Cold Light of Monday". Album eksplorował ciemniejszą stronę zespołu. Album został dobrze przyjęty w wielu największych magazynach metalowych, takich jak Kerrang i Metal Hammer. W 2003 roku Wolverine otworzył także koncert Anathema w Londynie.
Na początku 2005 roku zespół wydał ponownie "The Window Purpose", zremasterowany i z odnowioną grafiką, a także nowym nagraniem starego utworu z "Fervent Dream". Jeszcze w tym samym roku Wolverine po raz trzeci w swojej karierze zagrał na europejskiej edycji festiwalu ProgPower. Zespół był współheaderem drugiego dnia festiwalu wraz z Pain of Salvation.
Po rozstaniu z Elitist/Earache Records w 2005 roku zespół nawiązał współpracę z wytwórnię Candlelight Records i nadszedł czas na wydanie "Still", czwartego studyjnego albumu Wolverine'a. Album nagrany w Spacelab Studio w Niemczech latem 2005 roku zawiera dziewięć utworów charakteryzujących się unikalnym brzmieniem Wolverine'a. Muzykę tę najlepiej opisać można jako mieszankę "The Window Purpose" i "Cold Light of Monday".
Nagrania albumu miały miejsce w różnych miejscach w Szwecji w pierwszej połowie 2010 roku, a miksem zajął się Jacob Hansen w Hansen Studios w Danii. Album został zmasterowany przez Eroc i wydany 23 maja 2011 roku. Według Marcusa Losbjera utwory na albumie są bardziej złożone muzycznie niż wcześniej. Aby stworzyć odpowiednią atmosferę, wykorzystano także elementy elektroniczne i efekty. Twierdzi również, że według niego jest to naturalna ewolucja i kontynuacja "Still". Wokalista Stefan Zell zauważył również, że "Communication Lost" to najlepsza produkcja zespołu.

WOLVERINE - BIO
Wolverine started out playing death metal with melodic influences, but when they released their first EP "Fervent Dream" in November 1999, the music evolved into progressive metal. "Fervent Dream" was enthusiastically received around the world and was soon sold out. In connection with the album's release, the band also played outside Sweden for the first time.
In early 2001, Fervent Dream was re-released in digi-pack form, remastered and including two additional tracks. In the summer of the same year, the band went to Germany and recorded the sequel to "Fervent Dream" entitled "The Window Purpose".
The album was released in December and the response was once again overwhelming; thanks to the album, the band received the title of Album of the Month in January 2002 from the Dutch metal magazine Aardschok. Once again, Wolverine toured Europe promoting the album.
In 2003, Elitist Records released the atmospheric album "Cold Light of Monday". The album explored the band's darker side. The album was well received in many major metal magazines such as Kerrang and Metal Hammer. In 2003, Wolverine also opened for Anathema in London.
In early 2005, the band re-released "The Window Purpose", remastered and with renovated graphics, as well as a new recording of the old song from "Fervent Dream". In the same year, Wolverine played at the European edition of the ProgPower festival for the third time in his career. The band co-headlined the second day of the festival with Pain of Salvation.
After parting ways with Elitist/Earache Records in 2005, the band started cooperation with Candlelight Records and it was time to release "Still", Wolverine's fourth studio album. Recorded at Spacelab Studio in Germany in the summer of 2005, the album features nine tracks featuring Wolverine's unique sound. The music can best be described as a mix of "The Window Purpose" and "Cold Light of Monday".
The album was recorded at various locations in Sweden during the first half of 2010 and mixed by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark. The album was mastered by Eroc and released on May 23, 2011. According to Marcus Losbjer, the songs on the album are more musically complex than before. Electronic elements and effects were also used to create the right atmosphere. He also states that he thinks it is a natural evolution and continuation of "Still". Vocalist Stefan Zell also noted that "Communication Lost" is the band's best production.
