"Rock and Roll Revival" - Stan Zizka's Del Satins with Stiletto & The Saxman
About this Event

The legendary Stan Zizka’s Del Satins are bring their incredible tribute to Dion, Johnny Maestro, and Larry Chance to The Theater at North in Scranton on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 7pm.

The Del Satins were one of the premier vocal groups in the early 1960s and are most remembered for their harmonies on hit records by Dion and others. They started the group as teenagers in New York City, releasing their first single, “I’ll Pray for You” in 1960. That same year, they took on Laurie Gribble as their manager, signed with Laurie Records, and joined forces with Dion who had left the Belmonts to start a solo career. Their first collaboration with Dion was “Runaround Sue,” an unforgettable number-one smash hit. The Del Satins sang on virtually all of Dion’s hits, including “The Wanderer,” “Lovers Who Wander,” “Ruby Baby,” “Donna the Prima Donna,” and “Sandy.” They also sang on Len Barry’s hits and Ernie Maresca’s “Shout! Shout! Knock Yourself Out.”

In 1962, the Del Satins had their first hit single, “Teardrops Follow Me” and were featured on many television shows (especially Clay Cole’s Weekly Show from 1963-1965) and radio shows, including The Alan Freed Show. They moved to Columbia Records where Dion produced “Feel no Pain” for them. In 1968, members of the Del-Satins merged with The Rhythm Method and Johnny Maestro to form The Brooklyn Bridge.

In 2011, Stan Zizka, Les Cauchi, Fred Ferrara and Tom Ferrara reunited for concerts in New York City and Long Island as well as performing with The Brooklyn Bridge and The Capris, the three groups having overlapping personnel. Stan’s Del Satins are as great as ever, and their tributes to Dion, Johnny Maestro, and Larry Chance, including videos that will bring the 60s back to life for the audience, will bring the audience back to that great era in our musical history. Johnny Maestro songs include “Sixteen Candles” and “The Worst That Could Happen,” and Larry Chance songs include “I Believe” and Larry’s duet with Stan Zizka, “Pledge My Love.”

Opening the show are Joey and Doreen Arminio, Stiletto and The Saxman, one of music’s most exciting duos not to be missed in concert. Both are honored to East Coast Music Hall Of Fame inductees, Joey for best musician (2019) and Doreen for best female vocalist (2022). Joey blows away audiences with his haunting, brawling saxophone and impressive vocals, while Doreen slinks her way into your heart with her killer vocals, trumpet skills, dance moves, and dazzling smile and wardrobe.

They breath fresh life and energy into your cherished favorite hits and have opened for The Brooklyn Bridge, The Tokens, The Duprees, The Skyliners, Tommy Roe, Brian Hyland, and The Drifters. They have been featured on numerous TV and radio shows, including Mickey Burns’ “Celebrity Profiles,” Dennis Dion Nardone’s “This Is Rock and Roll,” Vito Piccone’s Let The Good Times Roll,” and Ed Salek’s “Island Hops.”

Two great acts, bringing the audience back to the wonderful days of the 1960s through the countless hits of Dion, Johnny Maestro, Larry Chance and The Del Satins.

Tickets are $34-$39 and can be purchased online at www.thetheateratnorth.org or in person at the box office: Tuesdays 11am-2pm, Wednesdays 11am-2pm, Thursdays 3pm-6pm, and on the night of the show starting at 5pm.
