Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp NYC featuring the music of the Kinks, The Who, Billy Joel and The Band!

Now celebrating our 30th Anniversary, we’re excited to offer campers the opportunity to jam with legendary guitarist and Dave Davies, co-founder of The Kinks. Imagine performing the biggest Kinks classics alongside Dave himself including “You Really Got Me,” “Waterloo Sunset,” “Lola,” “Tired of Waiting for You,” and “Come Dancing.”
Campers will also jam with Simon Townshend of The Who and perform iconic Who anthems like “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Who Are You,” and “Behind Blue Eyes” at the final show at the legendary The Cutting Room in front of family and friends.
On top of that, campers will perform a second live show on Friday night celebrating the music of Billy Joel with legendary drummer Liberty DeVitto. Liberty played on Billy’s biggest hits and appears in the latest HBO documentary on Billy’s incredible career. Imagine performing songs like “Piano Man,” “You May Be Right,” “Only the Good Die Young,” “Big Shot,” and “My Life” with the drummer who helped create those classic records.
And if that’s not enough, campers will have the opportunity to jam the timeless music of The Band with Amy Helm, daughter of legendary drummer and vocalist Levon Helm. Amy performed and toured with Levon during the final years of his career at the famous Barn shows in Woodstock. Campers will celebrate classics like “The Weight,” “Up on Cripple Creek,” “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,” and “Ophelia.”
In addition, you’ll be mentored by Rock Camp’s top counselors while enjoying master classes, jam rooms, Q&A sessions, and unforgettable live performances throughout the weekend.

Preparing for Camp
Prior to camp, you’ll be asked to do a skill evaluation call with our musical director. From there, we’ll place you in a band with fellow participants based on your skill level. Your band will be assigned a rock star counselor who will mentor you all four days, preparing you to jam with the headliners, and play your two live shows! During camp, you and your bandmates will rehearse with your counselor, and jam with musical legends in a high-energy, creative environment. Whether you’re an experienced musician or just starting out, this immersive experience will elevate your skills and confidence.
Two Live Performances
Show off your skills with two live shows at NYC’s Cutting Room—take the stage with your band and perform for a live audience alongside real rock stars.
During 4 Days of Rock Camp:

WHAT HAPPENS AT CAMP
ROCK ‘N’ ROLL FANTASY CAMP IS A FULLY INTERACTIVE PARTICIPATORY CAMP WITH A NON-COMPETITIVE ATMOSPHERE.
There’s no audition here! Whatever your instrument—be it voice, guitar, bass, drums or keyboards, we will make sure you can make a meaningful contribution.
Simply fill out our questionnaire and we will place you accordingly: in a band with other like-minded, similarly skilled fantasy campers all ready to rock. Whatever your level of proficiency, you’ll find your abilities and confidence grow as you rehearse under the constant guidance of one of our amazing rock star counselors.
These phenomenal mentors won’t simply coordinate your band, they’ll inspire you in a series of intimate master classes. Here you will spend quality time focused on perfecting your skills, immersed in lessons specific to your instrument. That way you’ll be at your personal best by the time you perform, and comfortable enough to chill out with them, take a few photos and get your memorabilia signed afterward.
