We're SO excited for the Maker Show this year that we're going to start the party early! As most of you have seen at past events, the Robot Rumble arena displays delightful destruction during the all-day robot showdowns. Each robot body is carefully crafted for battle, and we're inviting everyone to the makerspace on May 17th to make their own for the Maker Show on June 9th!
Guest instructors and robot fanatics (maybe even robots themselves..?), Shannon O’Hare and Eli Meyer from Obtainium Works, will be on deck to assist with your ideas and help answer questions. Teams of 2-6 people will be formed and can use the Roundhouse tools with assistance from our trained volunteer staff to design and construct their robot bodies. The class fee includes materials, 1 ticket to the Maker Show, and early access to practice your robot battle.
Ages 10 to adult are welcome. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by a parent (one adult per two youths).
