*********** The Mission************

The Robins Air Force Base (RAFB) Honor Guard is an elite team comprised of members from the 78th Air Base Wing, 461st Air Control Wing, Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, 5th Combat Communications Group, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and other mission partners who operate out of RAFB. This team is also augmented by Air Reserve Component (ARC) members which report to geographically separated units at Berry Field Air National Guard Base (ANGB) and Dobbins Air Reserve Base (ARB). The RAFB Honor Guard’s primary mission is to represent the Nation, the Air Force and RAFB Community honoring the service and sacrifice of our fallen Airmen when rendering Military Funeral Honors (MFH) to active duty, retired, and veteran members of the Armed Forces who served this nation honorably. The MFH mission takes precedence over all other ceremonial functions.

Dependent on RAFB Honor Guard’s primary mission and available manpower, RAFB Honor Guard may support various Color Guard military and civic events as a secondary mission. These secondary Color Guard events include retirements, promotion ceremonies, sporting events, parades, and executive-level dignitary events. Color Guard events will be supported in accordance with Air Force Manual 36-2203, Drill and Ceremonies
